LOCAL RESEARCH - Australian Trial of X-Zelit vs DCAD in 2018.
Result - The use of X-Zelit improved blood calcium post-calving and milk yield in this study. Trends towards positive effects on reproductive performance, immunity and rumination time warrants further study. Also, further studies into the use of X-Zelit in pasture based systems, where DCAD management is often challenging due to high potassium levels in forages, would be beneficial.
